Respecting the slow food philosophy of good, clean and fair and the traditions on which Farmer’s Deli was founded, we at Farmer’s Deli Bistro focus on the finest organic, seasonal and quality ingredients. We wanted to create a space of calm away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives.
Drawing inspiration from the De Trafford family stately home, Villa Bologna, our interiors reflect their passion for contemporary art, traditional Maltese pottery and tasteful yet understated charm. Go outside, and you will find our alfresco courtyard, framed by rose-wrapped columns, shaded beneath the citrus and mulberry trees and fragrant bougainvillea whilst you enjoy our divine dishes and refreshing drinks.
We proudly source our produce from organic certified farmers, growers, butchers and creameries. By recognising a need for a restaurant in Malta that focuses on health, sustainability and fresh organic produce, we opened the doors to our Bistro in 2020 with an intention of creating a relaxed all-day dining experience for our guests. Our mission is to offer fresh, textural, seasonal and delicious flavours – always focusing on where the food comes from and how it is grown. Our menu is continuously changing with the seasons and we always take into account our coeliac and vegan guests, as well as your pets.
If these trying times have taught us anything, it is to slow down, take a breath and appreciate those around us. While news reports continue to remind us all of the problems around the world, it is important that we look after ourselves as much as possible. Here at Farmer’s Deli Bistro, we want to welcome you through our doors into our oasis of calm, safe in the knowledge that our team is working to a set of strict safety measures and our seating plans provide ample space for social distancing.
