The Benefits of Juicing


Summer is in full swing and most of us are struggling to lose weight, bloating and low energy levels. The Detox Juice Diet, or Cleansing Diet as it is also known, nourishes the body exclusively with fruit and vegetables for a period that may range from days to weeks. The length of time you keep it going depends on your individual goals.

Here are 7 ways how to boost overall your wellbeing through organic fruit & veg juicing:

  1. Juicing encourages the healthy balance of intestinal flora – the gut is under constant attack from toxic foods (including saturated fats, refined carbohydrates, additives, preservatives and pesticides), medications and stress, causing imbalance. When food is juiced, it is digested more easily and the balance is restored since the phytonutrients help to repair the gut.

  2. It reduces the liver’s overload – when we consume toxic food the liver is overworked, removing toxins from the body. A cleansing juice gives the liver a much needed and supportive break.

  3. Juices also facilitate the elimination, by default, of harmful foods from our diet. Dairy, wheat, gluten and fermented food are common triggers for discomfort; by eliminating and gradually reintroducing these, you can better determine which foods are causing you problems.

  4. Juices boost the body with required nutrients since they retain all the good elements, including enzymes that would be otherwise destroyed by cooking.
