Xylitol, also known as birch sugar, is a natural sweetener that occurs as a sugar alcohol in vegetables, fruits, and the bark of trees such as birch. Mattisson Xylitol is derived from European birch and offers around 70% of the sweetness of regular sugar. It is an excellent alternative to cane sugar, beet sugar, or other sweeteners. It adds a pleasantly sweet flavour to smoothies, yoghurt, snacks, drinks, ice cream, and desserts.
