Pure lemon oil, extracted from rescued lemon peels left over after juice production, gives the cookies their bright citrus flavour, while poppy seeds add a distinctive, delicate crunch.
They are 100% plant-based, palm oil-free and contain no preservatives. Sustainability extends to the packaging too, which is made from agricultural waste such as leftover leaves and stems – with no plastic.
Founded by baker’s daughter Marijntje, Van Eigen Deeg believes that genuinely delicious cookies can be made more sustainably from start to finish – and these zesty lemon cookies are a perfect example.
